Bahram Asiabanpour (Engineering)

Dr. Bahram Asiabanpour is a professor and manufacturing engineering program coordinator at the Ingram School of Engineering. He is also a Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE). He has served at Texas State since 2003. He has developed and taught more than 15 undergraduate and graduate level courses and has been the PI or CoPI of more than 30 external grants and Co-inventor of two patents during his tenure at Texas State. Dr. Asiabanpour has been the recipient of the Mariel M. Muir Excellence in Mentoring award, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Distinguished Faculty Advisor award, and the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society Favorite Professor award. In the past, he served one year as interim faculty senate senator and five years as liaison for the Ingram School of Engineering.


Noland Martin (Biology)

Noland Martin is a biologist that works primarily on speciation and natural hybridization. He received a B.S. in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin, a MS in Biology at the University of Oregon, and a PhD from Duke University. He is currently a Professor in the Biology department at Texas State University and is the director of the Population and Conservation Biology MS program. Dr. Martin is passionate about international education, and he regularly conducts summer courses in Costa Rica. He also holds the distinction of Honorary Professor of International Studies. In addition to his university service, Dr. Martin was one of the founding board members of the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association in Durham, NC, and he currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Wimberley Parks Board. These shared governance experiences have instilled in him a recognition that board service centers on responsible oversight and community engagement.
