Lynn Ledbetter (Music)

Lynn Ledbetter is completing her third year as Chair of the Faculty Senate. She teaches applied violin and chamber music on the undergraduate and graduate levels, and serves as Chair of the Piper Professor Committee, and as a member of the University Arts Committee, School of Music Personnel, Graduate Curriculum, and Performance Upper Level Review Committees. As a tenured Professor of Music, she has served on dean, chair, administrative and faculty search/evaluation committees; executive personnel/personnel and planning committees; College Curriculum Committee; and as Faculty Senator, Vice-Chair and Secretary of the Faculty Senate, Chair of the Nontenure Line Faculty Committee, and School of Music Faculty Senate Liaison. Since coming to Texas State in 1996, and witnessing its consistent growth in size and quality, she continues to maintain a strong belief in the importance of ensuring that faculty has, and will always have, a strong, clear and responsible voice in shared governance.
