Kevin Jetton (Information Systems and Analytics)

Kevin Jetton, Senior Lecturer, McCoy College department of Information Systems & Analytics: Has taught various Information Systems courses to thousands of business majors and minors plus Information Systems Majors for 38 years. Degrees awarded include both an MBA and BBA from UTSA and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Data Processing from San Antonio College. Has 30+ years in the IT industry in various industry segments and served the IT profession at all levels including becoming the national AITP association president. Served on various department, college and university wide initiatives and committees, a Faculty Senate Liaison and on the Faculty Senate sponsored nontenure line faculty (NLF) committee as vice-chair producing reception events, the NLF Promotion Path/Title Series initiative and more. Faculty advisor to the ITSA student organization mentoring IT students in leadership and industry competitions for decades including the annual IT Symposium event targeting state-wide IT high school students and faculty since it’s 2007 inception.


Lucian Visinescu is an Associate Professor at Texas State University in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of North Texas, a graduate degree in Databases from the Academy of Economic Studies, a postgraduate degree in Public Relations/Social Communication from the National Academy of Political and Administrative Studies, and an undergraduate degree in statistics from the Academy of Economic Studies. Last three degrees were awarded in Bucharest, Romania. His shared governance experience includes work at the department level participating in the amendment and formulation of different policies.
