The cooler weather has resulted in “my” park getting exponentially more crowded, which has bummed me out…

Given my European genetic make up, my stride, even at my whopping 5' 9" height, is significantly longer than that of my Vietnamese counterparts.

This means I have two choices: walk very, very slow, or adapt.

Interestingly, I find myself negotiating the park pedestrian traffic just like I see motor bikes (xe máy) doing on the streets of Hanoi. Although I don't go around imitating the sound of geese to let people know I'm moving into their space, I do find myself assertively weaving in and around everyone else.

And like some people riding xe máy I don't wear a helmet!
