Education

Larry Price is a Full Professor of Quantitative Methods (Psychometrics and Statistics). Prior coming to Texas State University, he served as a Psychometrician and Statistician for the Emory University School Medicine, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences from 1996 to 1999. Between 1999 and 2001, Dr. Price was employed at The Psychological Corporation in San Antonio, Texas as a Psychometrician II. Dr. Price continues to serve as a consultant for The Psychological Corporation, The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio’s Functional MRI Research Imaging Center, McLean Hospital at Harvard University Medical School, Johns Hopkins University Medical School, and the United States Air Force. Dr. Price is author of Psychometric Methods: Theory into Practice (2016) by the Guilford Publications, New York, NY.

  • My research interests are varied and include:

    1. Theoretical development and testing of Bayesian and non-Bayesian structural equation models in psychological and neuropsychological research.
    2. Theoretical development, testing, and refinement of classical and modern psychometric methods in the behavioral sciences.
    3. Development of dynamic multivariate vector autoregressive time series models for the psychological, social and neurosciences.
