Forensic Identification Workshop
This is a hands-on lab-based course focused on identification techniques for unidentified human remains in forensic contexts including recently deceased individuals, long-term unidentified cases, and international humanitarian crises.
The course has been built for professionals in the medicolegal community who are interested in learning about identification techniques as well as graduate students in anthropology, criminal justice, or related fields.
The course is taught by FACTS faculty with the help of advanced graduate students. Each topic will include theoretical knowledge and practical exercises to take full advantage of the FACTS resources including the willed body donation program and the Texas State Donated Skeletal Collection (TXSTDSC).
