This 4-day course focuses on identification of human remains through postmortem fingerprinting and DNA sampling, locating and documenting an advanced decomposition/skeletonized death scene, and the use of federal databases for identification and case management.

Payment: $1000.00 due for registration. No refunds.
Who: Historically, this course is geared towards law enforcement and federal employees working along the US-Mexico border who often need to recover surface-scattered skeletonized remains and fingerprint individuals in advanced decomposition. Any professional law enforcement officer, crime scene professional, pathologist, or forensic anthropologist is eligible for enrollment. All others must request permission. Accomodation
Course fees do not include food or accommodation. Any hotel/motel within San Marcos should be within 15min driving distance to the workshop site. The city of San Marcos has an excellent visitors page you can access for information on dining and accommodation options. The page is linked below.
