Forensic Entomology
This 16-hour course is taught by certified entomologists and is designed to teach participants about forensic entomology with hands-on laboratory experience at the Outdoor Human Decomposition Facility.
Workshop attendees with learn to identify insects of forensic importance, properly collect and preserve entomological evidence, ship entomological evidence to a certified Forensic Entomologist for analysis, and sit for the ABFE-Technician certification exam.
Participants of this workshop must be professionals and have experience with human remains and/or death investigations. Non-professionals and undergraduate students must receive approval from FACTS to register for the course.

Any hotel/motel within San Marcos will be within 15 minutes of the workshop site. You may ask for the Texas State Rate at some hotels for an additional discount.
