Food Services & Stormwater

Food service activities have the potential to impact the environment if best practices are not developed and implemented. Poor stormwater management can harm the environment if employees do not closely monitor their practices and procedures for cleanup and disposal of food wastes. Alternatively, food service employees who are properly trained in stormwater awareness can have a positive impact on the environment and help to protect our rivers and creeks by preventing fats, oils, and other debris from entering storm drains and the San Marcos River.
