Two Annual Fundraising Events
RFSA does not receive university funding nor do we assess membership dues, the RFSA generates funds for scholarships we award and for the “cost of doing business” by hosting two annual fundraising events: The Fall Social and The Bobcat Prowl – a 5K Run/Walk event created in 2021.
Bobcat Prowl 5 K Run/Walk
The Bobcat Prowl is a running (or walking) event to raise additional funds to achieve the objectives of the Association. The Bobcat Prowl Committee seeks out local businesses to sponsors this event and invites area runners (and walkers) to sign up in age-group categories to via for attractive awards. The Bobcat Prowl Committee plans and conducts this event. From 10 to 90+ participate.
Fall Social
The purpose of the Fall Social is to gather RFSA members together for fun, food, and fellowship. This social event is where new scholarship recipients are introduced and additional funds are raised for next year’s scholars. The Fall Social Committee plans and conducts the events. Local businesses help sponsor this event.
