Kinder Morgan Foundation Awards Grant To Mathworks

San Marcos, TX - March 24, 2011

The Kinder Morgan Foundation has awarded $3,500 to Mathworks at Texas State University in support of the 2011 Junior Summer Math Camp.  The grant provides crucial opportunities to young students to do math and lay a solid foundation for higher-level courses.  Funding will provide for camp scholarships as well as camp operating supplies.

Founded in 1995, the Mathworks Junior Summer Math Camp (JSMC) includes a commuter program for students in grades 4 through 8, as well as a residential program for select 6th-8th grade students.  The JSMC serves over 200 students each year, providing mathematical learning opportunities to students of all backgrounds.
