Mathworks Receives Grant from American Math Society

Texas State University Mathworks received a grant for $30,000 from the American Math Society Epsilon fund to support scholarships for students to attend the Honors Summer Math Camp. The AMS Epsilon Fund awards grants in support of summer mathematics programs for mathematically talented high school students. One student will be named as a “Ky and Yu-fen Fan Scholar” in honor of one of the founders of this scholarship.

Texas Mathworks is a center for mathematics education that develops model programs and self-sustaining learning communities that engage Texas K-12 students from all backgrounds in doing mathematics at a high level. The Honors Summer Math Camp is the flagship program of Mathworks for outstanding high school students. This 6-week residential program attracts students from throughout Texas and nationally.
