Requesting Test Scores

Due to federal privacy law (FERPA), we are required to obtain written permission from adult students in order to release test scores. In addition, we will only release scores of those tests for which we are the primary issuing authority. These include the TSI Assessment and departmental credit-bearing-exams (CBE), THEA-IBT (internet-based). To request scores, please complete our Score Report Request Form.

Special note regarding TSI Assessment scores from Texas State to be sent to another school

If you need scores for the TSI Assessment to be sent to another Texas public college or university, that school can access TSIA scores taken at Texas State (or at any other school or testing center) through the Cross-Institutional Score Reports tool within the TSIA/Accuplacer system. You should just need to provide them your name, date of birth, and the name of the school or testing center where you took the exam. Accessing your scores in this way should be free.

Alternatively, you can attempt to access your scores and/or send them directly through the Accuplacer/TSIA system by submitting the form at https://studentportal.accuplacer.org/#/studentisr. After accessing your score report, you should see an option to email them, and can enter the email address of any recipient you choose. This option is also free to you.

However, if neither of the above options works for you, we can send your scores for a fee if you submit our Score Report Request Form.

To process your request form, when you send it to us, you must also include a clear copy of a valid photo ID. Government-issued IDs that also include a signature are preferred, but we will also accept an active Texas State student ID. The form and a photocopy of your ID can be mailed, or you can scan them and filedrop or fax.

Allow three business days for processing your request.

Payments can be made by credit card over the phone (512.245.5576), or if mailing in your form, you can include a money order made payable to Texas State University.

Note: TEMC cannot provide refunds for any fees or other payments beyond one week from the date of payment.

We cannot and will not issue score reports for these tests:

Neither Texas State University nor the Testing, Evaluation, and Measurement Center (TEMC) is the appropriate issuing authority of scores for AP, IB, CLEP, DSST, TEAS, ACTFL, THEA QT (paper-based), SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, etc. Please direct requests for scores on these tests to the appropriate authority.

For TSIA scores from another school sent to Texas State

If you need to request TSIA scores taken elsewhere for reporting to Texas State, you should fill out the Texas State TSIP Office's Submit TSI Scores.
