Rebecca L Farinas (Texas State University): PhD Philosophy (Southern Illinois University), MA Philosophy (University of Plymouth), MFA (University of Manchester). Craig Hanks (Texas State University): PhD Philosophy (Duke University),  Department Head Texas State University, A winner of seven teaching awards, including the highest recognition at Texas State University and The University of Alabama in Huntsville, he has more than 25 years of experience teaching Philosophy of Technology, Engineering Ethics, and Professional Ethics. He has served Texas State on the Intitutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and the Institutional Review Board (IRB), which he chaired for three years. He is a member of the Steering Committee for the Inderdispininary Graduate Program in Sustainability Studies at Texas State. He was a visiting associate professor at the Stevens Institute of Technology, and has offered short courses and seminars on philosophy and ethics for teachers from high school through doctoral programs.

 

LeAnne Smith (Texas State University): MFA Case Western Reserve, Director of Dance Texas State University. Serves as artistic director of Opening Door Dance Theatre, founded with Karen Earl and Sandy Rodriguez in 1984. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University, LeAnne has danced the works of Erick Hawkins, Kelly Holt, Kathryn Karipides, Wendy Hambidge, Louis Kavouras, Joan Hays and Karen Earl, among others. Her choreography has been presented in Ohio, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington DC, Scotland, and Costa Rica. A recipient of the Presidential Award for Scholarly/Creative Activities, LeAnne continues to perform and teach throughout the United States.
