Mathworks administers the Mathworks Math Contest to allow students to allow mathematics problem solving at a high level. The test is also used to identify promising applicants for the residential Junior Summer Math Camp (JSMCR) held at Texas State University.
In 2025, 962 students from across the United States and International took the qualifying test, with 336 females, 626 males. The average score was 2.72.
