We are always open to new research and voices. If you are interested in joining our community, review the options below to find the best fit for your interests and research. Although all members must have an interest in innovative anthropologies, members do not need to be affiliated with the department of anthropology. We welcome interdisciplinary researchers and students from all fields, such as medicine, business, computer science, and other social sciences.

Become a Member

At the beginning of each semester, a call for members will be circulated with an online application. Applications will be processed, and memberships approved shortly after. Anyone affiliated with TXST may become a member if they have research or learning interests in the InnoAnth Lab's areas of specialty. This includes people across anthropology's subfields and in other departments.

Members have access to the lab any time it is not booked, and the building is open to use as co-working and collaboration space. This includes access to equipment that can be checked out for research projects for up to one week (168 hours). Additionally, members participate in our circular community by hosting and joining in on meetups and conversations and sharing their research and knowledge with the community through our knowledge base, classifieds, and other collaborative works.

Become a Community Partner

Do you have a research need that could benefit from an innovative anthropological perspective? We work with community partners and collaborators on projects in a variety of ways, including long-term collaborations with individual members, short-term projects in our community research classes, and by connecting the community with our students through externships and job placements. To start a conversation about how we might work together, get in touch!
