The Concrete Industry Management is a hands-on technology discipline that prepares students for a wide range of exciting technical and managerial careers in the concrete and related industries. Texas State is one of five universities in the nation to offer this innovative degree program. The CIM Program at Texas State is accredited by The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering. The goal of this industry-driven program is to produce broadly educated, articulate graduates who are grounded in basic construction management, knowledgeable in concrete technology and techniques, and able to manage people and systems to promote products and services related to the concrete industry.
100% Job Placement Rate!
To date, graduates of our program have starting salaries of $65,000 and continue to be at a 100% job placement for each CIM graduate.
CIM 2022 Awards & Recognition
2022 NASA MINDS Award Ceremony

Led by our very own CIM Faculty, Dr. Anthony Torres and Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering Dr. Xijun Shi, TXST won 1st Place Grand Champion at the NASA MINDS undergraduate competition.
The undergraduate team produced geopolymer concretes using lunar material simulants that were 3D printed for future lunar habitats.
Former NASA astronaut Winston Scott presented the award and the team has been invited to watch the next lunar space launch!
CIM takes First Place!

Led by Dr. Anthony Torres, Seniors Gavin Hargues and Drew Cope receive 1st place at TACA's undergraduate Student Competition.
