Biography & Education

Travis is the Assistant Director for Instructional Programs within the Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC) at Texas State University. He holds a B.S. in Aquatic Biology from Texas State University and an M.S. in Biology from Central Michigan University. Travis is a former Texas State SI Leader and is excited to be stepping into the role formerly held by his mentor, Victor Vizcarrondo Velez.

As the Assistant Director for Instructional Programs, he coordinates the Supplemental Instruction (SI) program and oversees SLAC’s outreach and public relations components. He assists SLAC’s Director with strategic planning and other projects that help SLAC meet its long-term goals and objectives. He joined Texas State University in December of 2023.
