Biography & Education

Kathryn is the Tutorial Services Coordinator at Texas State University's Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC). She has been a Bobcat since 2016 graduating from Texas State University with her B.A. in Spanish, B.A.I.S. in International Relations, and M.S. in Geography. As an undergraduate Kathryn worked as a SLAC writing tutor and lead, and during her graduate program, she transitioned to the classroom as a graduate assistant in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.

As SLAC’s Tutorial Services Coordinator, Kathryn’s primary responsibilities include hiring, training, and supervising student tutors in The STUDY and overseeing SLAC’s private tutor referral program. Kathryn also hosts group success strategy sessions to help students learn new skills pertaining to time management, note-taking, and test preparation.
