JSMCR Study groups break for dance time on Watermelon Wednesday

Acceptance to the Residential Junior Summer Math Camp is based on the applications we receive from each applicant. In order for your application to be reviewed, it must be fully completed. To be classified as complete it must have the following components:

  •  Essay-written by the applicant
  • Transcript from your school (does not have to be an official transcript)
  • Teacher Recommendation (preferably your math teacher/coach)

Once all of these are complete and submitted to Mathworks, your application will be sent to the committee.

Before you enter the application page, please have your essay and transcript ready to upload. Also, please forward this link to your teacher/coach to submit a letter of recommendation.

Teacher Recommendation

Every applicant is responsible for notifying their teacher that they need a letter of recommendation. Please give your recommending teacher enough notice to write and send the letter. Mathworks is not responsible for contacting your teacher.

Submitting your Application

  1. Complete the online student application form including your essay and transcript.
  2. Request a letter of recommendation from your teacher.
  3. We encourage students to apply early because applications are accepted with a rolling admissions.

We begin reviewing applications as they are received and accepting students to camp on or after February 15.  Please note that there will be less available positions after this date, and the camp usually fills up early in the process.
