Mathworks Announces Grant from Jane Street
Mathworks is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from Jane Street to fund three student scholarships for the Mathworks Honors Summer Math Camp (HSMC), and to support three faculty members who will mentor HSMC students on research projects next summer. The Jane Street scholarships will support students with financial need, helping to fulfill Mathworks’ mission of providing outstanding summer mathematics programs for students regardless of their family financial resources.
Jane Street is a quantitative trading firm, combining trading, research, and machine learning to build strategies across asset classes. Jane Street is committed to supporting outstanding programs that prepare future leaders and innovative problem solvers and joins the American Mathematical Society Epsilon Fund in recognizing the Mathworks HSMC as one of the premier summer programs in the US. Jane Street hopes to host an event at the 2026 HSMC to introduce students to its work.
