2026 JSMCR Application
This is the application form for the 2026 Junior Summer Math Camp Residential (JSMCR) Program from June 7 - 19, 2026. This program is designed for 6th - 8th grade students. We begin reviewing applications as they are received and accepting students to camp on or after February 15. Please note that there will be less available positions after this date, and the camp usually fills up early in the process.
You will need the following items to complete your online application:
- Essay (Required, 1 page, pdf format, essay topics listed below) Upload your essay with this application.
- Transcript or Latest Report Card - (Required) Upload an unofficial copy of your transcript or latest report card with this application.

Application Essay
Please submit a one-page essay that addresses the following prompts:
- How did you learn about the JSMCR program?
- Describe your mathematics background and what you have enjoyed exploring.
- What other activities are you engaged in doing?
- What excites you about coming to JSMCR this summer?

Report Card/Transcript
Please attach a digital copy (PDF format) of your latest report card by uploading it below.
Math Courses Already Taken
If you have already completed any of the math courses listed below, please indicate the letter grade you received, e.g., “A”, “B”, “C”.
Financial Aid
Note: No payment is due with this application. If you are accepted, your acceptance letter will reflect the amount due. Scholarship assistance is available from the Mathworks Endowments and other donations for all students with financial need. Please complete this section to be considered for scholarship assistance.
The full tuition for the program is $2200. This covers room and board, and supplies. Students may wish to bring a small amount of money for miscellaneous expenses.
If you are not seeking a need-based scholarship, simply put "N/A".
