May 2026 Update
The project team is currently preparing materials for the Texas State University System Board of Regents and will present the recommended vendor and system integrator, seeking approval to move forward with contracting and implementation at the August 2026 meeting.
Preparation & Foundation Stage
Establishing project governance, finalizing contracts, and defining the critical Foundation Data Model (FDM) to ensure consistency. Discovery sessions and stakeholder engagements help build the program's foundation from October to December 2026.
HCM, Finance, & Payroll Implementation Phase
Post-Kickoff (Jan 2027), this phase focuses on the detailed design, configuration, integration, and initial testing of Human Capital Management, Finance, and Payroll modules. Campus User Groups and the change network participate extensively in business process modeling and system validation.
HCM/FI Go-Live & Post-Go-Live Support
Comprehensive final testing, end-user validation, extensive training delivery across all user groups, and the official Go-Live for HCM, FI, and Payroll in Oct/Nov 2028. Following deployment, a hypercare support model is activated to assist end-users and ensure a smooth transition.
Student Information System (SIS) Project
With HCM/FI operational, work begins on the separate Student Information System (SIS) in January 2029. This multi-year initiative follows another full project lifecycle for design, configuration, rigorous testing, and extensive training, culminating in a planned SIS Go-Live in January 2032.
