Policies & Procedures

    • You can check how your courses will transfer to Texas State before you apply. The university’s Transfer Course Equivalency System shows how commonly transferred classes match Texas State credit, using the same database used for official transcripts.

Transfer rules can change, and your official evaluation is only finalized once you’re admitted.

    • Admitted or currently enrolled students can use the Transfer Course Equivalency System (login required) to view how their officially submitted transcripts have been evaluated and how each course transfers to Texas State. A downloadable Evaluated Course Work Glossary explains the terms and abbreviations used in those evaluations.

If anything in your evaluation seems unclear, you’re encouraged to reach out to the TXST Transfer Center or an admissions counselor for help.

  • Use this form if you believe you have taken a course that should satisfy a TXST course with one of the following prefixes: CSM, CIM, or TECH.

  • Students placed on academic probation must meet one of the following requirements by the end of the next long semester they attend TXST (long semesters are either fall or spring):

    • Raise your TXST GPA to at least 2.00 to return to good academic standing. Students in good standing can continue to attend TXST.
      or
    • Earn a semester GPA at TXST of at least 2.25 to remain on academic probation. Students on academic probation can continue to attend TXST.

If students placed on academic probation do not meet one of the requirements listed above by the end of their next fall or spring semester at TXST, they will be placed on academic suspension.

Note: Academic performance can impact your financial aid eligibility. Please contact Financial Aid and Scholarships at 512.245.2315 or visit their website to review the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy.
