About

PACE Success Coaches under the UAC Arch

Overview

Success Coaching at Texas State was established in 2012 as part of university's quality enhancement plan.  Success Coaching works with the goal of SLAC by supporting students to develop an academic plan aimed at timely graduation and focused on their achievement of short-and long-term goals. Success Coaching strives to understand student needs, partners with various offices across campus, and provides resources to students.

Success Coaching is for:

ANY YEAR. ANY MAJOR. ANY STATUS. ANY STUDENT.

Success Coaching promotes academic excellence and self-efficacy by supporting students in reaching their highest potential. Our coaches are enthusiastic, caring and non-judgmental individuals who support your improvement as a student and scholar.

Success Coaches are professional staff members and graduate students who have been trained in multiple areas such as time management, active study techniques, mindset and motivation, and other relevant topics to support the success of all Bobcats.  Meeting with a Success Coach will allow you to identify your strengths as a student and develop individualized strategies to improve your academic performance and productivity.

Mission

Success Coaching provides holistic support within a scholastic framework to all students through their academic journey to empower them to develop self-efficacy and a college-ready academic skillset for success at the university level.

Values

Success Coaching values viewing each student individually.  Our top priority is the support, guidance, and assistance to students who desire academic success.  We encourage academic curiosity and collaboration for all students.
