Run to R1 Postdoctoral Researcher Catalyst Program

President Damphousse has invested in appointing postdoctoral researchers to support Texas State University’s Run to R1.  Apply online starting March 20.

The Division of Research will manage the funding, which will support the salaries of approximately 30 postdoctoral researchers for two years each, starting with the fiscal year 2024 (September 1). This funding opportunity is intended to catalyze the recruitment and growth of postdoctoral researchers on campus, and it is expected that faculty awarded these funds will secure external funding to support their respective postdocs and sustain them beyond the two years.

Faculty across all academic departments and research centers are invited to apply to host postdoctoral positions using our online portal. Applications will be reviewed by a subcommittee of the Presidential Commission on the Run to R1. Team applications are permitted. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Clear research plan and plan for sustaining post-doc appointment with external funding beyond the initial two-year University investment (maximum 500 words)
