Our annual Eddie Durham Celebration pays tribute to the San Marcos native with an all-star big band concert!
Held every February, the Hill Country Jazz Festival at Texas State features the Eddie Durham Celebration, more than 20 Texas high school jazz bands, and a concert by the Texas State Jazz Ensemble featuring some of the biggest names in jazz. Past guest artists include Jim McNeely, Joel Frahm, Conrad Herwig, The Count Basie Orchestra, James Morrison, Rufus Reid, and many more!
