International Advisory Council

Mission Statement

The mission of the International Advisory Council (IAC) is to foster university-wide collaboration in international activities that is guided by a commitment to people from various backgrounds and their ideas, as well as a global perspective. The IAC will provide a broad-based, participatory framework for the consideration of international initiatives, opportunities, and projects. The IAC will also provide input to the office of International Affairs on specific matters relating to comprehensive internationalization.

International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the State Department and the Department of Education that provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and how it prepares students for success in the world. IEW will be celebrated internationally from Monday, November 18, 2024, through Friday, November 22, 2024.

International Student Recruitment

International Affairs is working to improve enrollment numbers of international students by increasing partnerships with agencies, digital platforms, and enrollment management services. As of January 2024, the university is contracted with thirty-eight recruitment agency firms and three lead management services. Talks with new prospective partners are in progress.
