The Environmental Service Fee began as a student-driven effort to support environmental projects and education on campus, eventually gaining both student and state approval. Since 2004, a dedicated committee has used this fee to fund initiatives that advance sustainability at Texas State.
Our Start
Where We Are Now
The Environmental Service Committee funds projects that advance environmental benefits, education, and more for the campus community. Made up of 11 members, it reviews applications each fall and spring and supports efforts such as student employment, research, habitat restoration, energy efficiency, and resource recovery so environmental projects can thrive at Texas State.
