Student Resources | COVID 19

In an effort to offer additional student support, the Center for the Study of the Southwest has established this Student Resources page to provide easy access to the various student resources made available by Texas State.  Any specific questions regarding Texas State University programs and support should be directed to the University.

Student Emergency Funding Assistance

When a student is faced with the financial effects of an emergency and has exhausted all other means of assistance, Texas State may be able to assist with Emergency Funding Assistance.  The Dean of Students manages a Compassion Advocacy Resources & Education (CARE) Center website with information for students regarding student emergencies.

Texas State has also established a program called Bobcat Cares that will provide $30 million in relief to university students.  This funding is being made available for COVID-19 related expenses, emergency grants for summer courses, scholarships and more.  More information, as well as the application, can be found on the Bobcat Cares webpage.

Food Resources

Bobcat Bounty, the university's food pantry, and other emergency pantries are available to students for any student who cannot afford to eat at the open dining services locations on-campus.

Bobcat Bounty will offer pre-packaged bags of groceries to students. Check their Twitter and Facebook for updates on their food distribution days. The Hays County Food Bank and Central Texas Food Bank can also provide additional assistance.

All Student Health Center locations and the Pharmacy will be open for the remainder of the spring semester. Services are by appointment only, please call 512.245.2161 to make an appointment. For more information visit the Health Center Website.
