Texas State University’s nationally accredited master of health information management degree program trains professionals on the latest technologies and digital systems needed to effectively perform HIM-related functions.
Because this role is critical to the healthcare experience and quality patient care, this rigorous program focuses on data analytics, health informatics, information security, finance and revenue cycle management, research methods, and contemporary leadership principles. Students will learn how to collect, process, and share patient health information in a more secure and efficient manner.
This 36-hour degree program prepares health information management specialists to advance their careers via the development of managerial and technical skills that will enhance their ability to collect, handle, and process clinical information to improve health decision-making and strategic planning.
