Does TXST accept Texas College Bridge?
Yes, TXST is now accepting Texas College Bridge effective for incoming students beginning the fall semester of 2025. Certificates for English Language Arts and/or Math provide a TSI waiver that is valid for two years from the date of high school graduation.
How will TXST apply my certificate(s)?
A student must enroll and successfully pass the college-level Reading/Writing and/or Math courses during the first year of enrollment at TXST or the waiver will no longer be valid.
*Note that a passing grade is considered a “C” or higher.*
Which college-level courses do I need to pass in my first year to become fully TSI exempted?
Math:
Math 1312, 1315, 1316, 1317, 1319, 1329, 2321, 2328, 2417, or 2471
Reading/Writing:
English 1310, 1320, 2310, 2320, 2330, 2340, 2359, 2360, or 2371
History 1310, 1320, 2327, 2328, 2381, or 2382
Political Science 2310 or 2320
Psychology 1300

How do I submit documentation?
Please send your Texas College Bridge Certificate(s) to the TSI office by email at tsioffice@txstate.edu. Please make sure to include your student ID (A-ID number) in your email. If you have any questions, please call the TSI office at 512.245.3942.
