Room Selection

All room reservation requests must be received through this form and approved by STAR Park management. The event organizer will receive notification of approval via email within 2 business days after the request has been submitted. If you would like to inquire about room availability for a specific date, please call 512-245-7827 or email

It is important to note there are priority and usage terms and conditions that must be followed when requesting a room, including applicable food and beverage policies. Room reservation requests will be approved on a priority basis, at the discretion of STAR Park Management. 

The sponsoring organization will be charged for any damages that occur to the room or furniture as a result of the event.

Food Service and Indemnity

Alcoholic Beverages

All events hosted at STAR Park, where alcoholic beverages will be served, must comply with the University policies for the sale, service, and consumption of alcoholic beverages UPPS No. 05.03.03  Alcoholic Beverage Policy and Procedure.

NOTE: Food must be served at all events where alcoholic beverages will be serviced.

University departments that wish to serve alcohol during an event must submit an approved Alcoholic Beverage Activity form at least 2 business days prior to the event.

Non-University entities that wish to serve alcohol during an event must be approved for sponsorship by STAR Park management and must submit a completed Alcoholic Beverage Activity form at least 15 business days prior to the scheduled event.

If the required Alcoholic Beverage Activity forms are not received by the appropriate due date, alcohol cannot be served during the event. The event organizer will be notified via email.

Food Release and Indemnity

a, Reserving Individuals, Organizations, and Departments agree to release and indemnify STAR Park and Texas State University and its staff from all liability for injury or illness associated with the consumption of food or beverages provided by the individual, organization, or department. 

b. Reserving Individuals, Organizations, and Departments assume responsibility for cleaning the room and any damage that may occur. 

c. In consideration for the permission extended by STAR Park and Texas State through its agents and employees, to use its campus facilities and in further consideration for STAR Park and Texas State facilitating such use, I (individual mentioned above) or we (organization or department mentioned above) release, discharge, and agree to indemnify STAR Park, Texas State, and all of its agents and employees, acting officially or otherwise, from any claims on account of death, injury, or damage to property which may occur from any cause during the use of such facility, regardless of whether such death, injury, or damage is caused in whole or in part by the negligence of STAR Park and Texas State. I/we intend to indemnify STAR Park, Texas State and its agents and employees from the consequences of their own negligence, whether that negligence is the sole or a concurring cause of death, injury, or damage.

If there are any damages to the room during the event, the event organizer will be billed for repairs.
