Texas State University
Spirit Stick Competition includes Spirit Boards, Spirit Parade, Service Project, Soap Box Derby, Boko's Glow Run, and Boko's Homecoming Bash.
Registered student organizations compete in this spirit competition by decorating and getting the most votes for their spirit board. Spirit boards are displayed in the Quad and Mall.
Students, faculty, and staff at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses are invited decorate their office as part of this competition.
Annually, TXST identifies a community service cause and collaborating organization for a service project designed to benefit and strengthen the local community through the Bobcat spirit.

Texas State’s Homecoming Spirit Parade unites the TXST and San Marcos communities, featuring the Marching Band Drumline, Strutters, cheerleaders, Homecoming Royalty, and entries from departments and student organizations.
Copilot said: The Soap Box Derby, a TXST tradition since 1967, features student boxcar races for the Spirit Stick and President’s Cup points, plus food, music, and fun attractions.
Since 2010, TXST has honored Distinguished Alumni at an annual gala to honor our Distinguished Alumni, Young Alumni Rising Stars, and Denise M. Trauth Outstanding Leader.
