COVID-19 Disclosure
The BLS and ACLS courses listed below are face-to-face courses, and participants will be required to wear face masks during the entirety of the classes. Student seating and skills performance during the courses will follow social distancing guidelines.
BLS Schedule

ACLS Schedule
Course is limited to first 12 registrations.
Upcoming Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course Schedule:
- 2-day class:
- Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 9 a.m. to noon
Participants must be present for for the entirety of both days to complete the course.
Location
All ACLS and BLS classes will be held at the St. David’s School of Nursing in Round Rock at 100 Bobcat Way, Round Rock, TX 78665 in the Nursing Building. Signage on room location will be provided at the building entrance.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations received in writing at least five (5) business days before the course start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations received within five (5) days of the course start date will receive a 50% refund of the amount paid.

Basic Life Support
Basic Life Support (BLS) training reinforces healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED; and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival. The BLS Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.
Course content includes:
· High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
· The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
· Use of an AED
· Effective ventilation using a barrier device
· Importance of teams in multi rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR
· Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an advanced course highlighting the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
Course content includes:
· Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
· Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
· Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
· Airway management
· Related pharmacology
· Management of ACS and stroke
· Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
