Course Overview
The Six Sigma Green Belt course is an introduction to the Lean Six Sigma philosophy and provides the necessary information for the completion of your Green Belt certification. Students will learn the fundamentals of the Six Sigma process and practice the required skills to maximize your value in the workplace, your personal career, and help your organization implement these processes.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to qualify for Green Belt certification through The International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC).
Skills Include:
- Explain Six Sigma Green concepts, terminology, and philosophy
- Demonstrate an ability to use the tools and techniques that are required in Six Sigma projects
- Understand customer requirements and define Six Sigma projects to meet the identified requirements
- Understand the fundamentals of the five step DMAIC model used to improve processes
- Apply graphical and statistical methods for data summarization and visualization
- Apply statistical methods for process measurement, analysis, and improvement
- Relate Lean Six Sigma concepts to the overall business mission and objectives or the organization
- Communicate using Lean Six Sigma concepts
- Recognize the organizational factors that are necessary groundwork for a successful process improvement program
- Use the concept of a Sigma Level to evaluate the capability of a process or organization
- Apply the knowledge of the Six Sigma Green Belt concepts to process improvement
This online course is divided into 5 modules
Module topics include:
Module 1
Provides an overview of Six Sigma concepts and language and an introduction to quality fundamentals.
Module 2
Provides an overview of the Define phase of the DMAIC process and discusses its deliverables.
Module 3
Provides an overview of the Measure phase of the DMAIC process and discusses its deliverables.
Module 4
Provides an overview of the Analyze phase of the DMAIC process and discusses its deliverables.
Module 5
Provides an overview of the Improve and Control phase of the DMAIC process and discusses its deliverables.
